Sheryl Bruce, R.Ac. (Registered Acupuncturist)

Sheryl has been treating clients with Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine since 2002. In addition to her 6 years of formal education, she studied and worked in China, Japan and Indonesia for a few years before her return to Alberta where she then embraced an opportunity to take over and run the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Clinic in the Edmonton General Hospital. She had a vibrant practice there for almost 15 years prior to making her way out to Beaumont with her family.

The combination of Sheryl’s years of clinical experience and the comprehensive perspective that Chinese medicine employs allows her to help people uncover and treat the root cause(s) of disharmony and dis-ease in the body. She is truly passionate about this field of medicine and has been able to see many people reap life changing results from her treatments and care.

While Sheryl feels confident to treat any kind of dissonance in the body, be it some kind of emotional or physical pain to deep internal illness, she has a fascination with women’s health such as fertility issues, pregnancy, menopause, anxiety, life transitions, you name it :-) She is an educator by nature and always seeks to empower her clients with as much practical information as possible so that the treatment extends far beyond the treatment room.

Check out her website at www.sherylstanford.com where you can read her many articles and benefit from her free guides to begin empowering yourself with the fundamental principles of Chinese medicine. There you will also see that along with her own personal journey as a woman, wife and mother of two, she has cultivated a deep understanding of the interaction of mind-body-spirit in promoting and sustaining health and wellbeing. Her rich tapestry of knowledge allows her to offer unique and much needed insight into the health challenges many people face in the world today.

Outside the clinic you will find Sheryl writing, spending time with her family, friends and dog, walking, running, rollerblading, skiing, doing yoga, singing karaoke, road trips, traveling and and striving to live life to its fullest :-)

Khurshid graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2010 from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in India.⠀ ⠀ If he had to specific one specialty, it’d be sports injuries. He’s a huge football (soccer) fan. His favourite team is Manchester United. In fact, he loves the team so much that he followed them all the way to England to complete schooling in exercise and sports science. ⚽️🇬🇧⠀ ⠀ His love for sports is probably what led him to specialize in sports injury physiotherapy. He works with injury cases from both indoor and outdoor sports, mostly in volleyball, basketball, baseball, rugby, hockey, and football (the Canadian kind). And given how much Beaumont loves sports, he has many school-level athletes who see him for treatment.⠀ ⠀ Khurshid’s patients ranging from cute, little children to respected, mature seniors. He enjoys working with people who have had knee and hip replacements, as he has personal experience working alongside a replacement surgeon for 2 years.⠀ ⠀ He also worked alongside a podiatrist for a couple years, gaining vast knowledge regarding foot and ankle issues, especially many hard-working Albertans who are in the oil patch and construction wearing steel-toed footwear full time.⠀ ⠀ Lately, he’s been working with whiplash cases, often a result of motor vehicle collisions. He also works with low back pain and issues arising from nerve or disc related pathology.⠀ ⠀ He has over 3 years experience working with extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT), which is in huge demand among patients looking for quick relief.⠀ ⠀ Khurshid believes in tailoring physiotherapy programs for each individual. He combines his knowledge of exercise science with the latest electrical equipment and hands-on skills to achieve the best outcome for his clients.⠀ ⠀ In his spare time, he likes going to the mountains to see crystal blue water, despite not being a very good hiker. 😉He also likes long drives. ⠀

In 2008, he founded Spinal Care Canada, extending spinal decompression services to locations throughout Alberta. Today, Dr. Paul’s clinics are more than just chiropractic offices: they focus on comprehensive, whole health solutions. Each clinic provides multiple services, including chiropractic, massage therapy, acupuncture, physiotherapy, shockwave therapy, neuropathy, and podiatry. He is not only dedicated to providing optimum care to his clients, he strives to make his clinics leading care centres in their areas. Dr. Paul’s customers are the first to say his customer service is amazing. He puts his patients first and focuses on only their time and treatment.
